New Grant Funding Available

By Jillian Wheeler | July 20, 2007

A federal government agency that is not well known is the Corporation for National and Community Service. Through its Learn and Serve America program, it makes funding available for non-profit organizations that want to work in communities and schools.

Grants between $50,000 and $200,000 are currently available to statewide and national non-profits to support programs that use volunteers. The closing date is September 6, 2007. The Corporation also funds service programs for students, a scholarship program, training for non-profits, and a number of other programs.
