Labor Day in the U.S.

By Jillian Wheeler | September 3, 2007

Today is Labor Day, the holiday in which we honor all the workers of our country. So here’s to you, whether you’re a truck driver or a surgeon, manage a convenience store or pick up trash, drive the kids to school or press pants, teach school, wait tables, or wave the wand at the airport security checkpoint. The work you do day in and day out, when you’re in the mood or when you’d rather be watching TV, contributes to the comfort and plenty we are fortunate enough to enjoy.

Work builds our communities. It is our gift to each other, and to ourselves.

One of the greatest benefits we enjoy in our culture is the opportunity to change our employment, to move up and do work that is more challenging, more rewarding, and brings us greater income. An aspect of my work that I love is being able to empower people to make those career changes.

Through our Grants Training Classes, people all over the world have learned how to start non-profit organizations and find grants to pay themselves for doing work that excites them. Many more have launched careers as Grants Consultants. They have participated in our classes and become Certified Grant Writers.

If you’re interested in changing your work and your life, we have a new class starting soon. Check it out at:

If you’re interested in real estate and want to learn about grants and low-cost loans from the government, take a look at The New American Land Rush: How to Buy Real Estate with Government Money:

And be sure to stay tuned for more information about Your Internet Cash Machine: The Insiders Guide to Making Big Money, Fast! That’s the new book Joe Vitale and I have written on how to create and profit from an Internet business. It’s being published by Wiley Publishing, and it will be on shelves December 28th. Lots more news on the book, very soon.

Meanwhile, whatever kind of work you do, today you’re the hero. Here’s to you! and thank you, from all of us.
