Government Help for Small Business

By Jillian Wheeler | August 4, 2009

Do you have a small business that’s struggling right now?  Were you profitable last year, or the year before?

If so, you may be eligible for assistance from the Small Business Administration (www.SBA.gov), under a program called ARC, America’s Recovery loan program.   Interest free loans are available up to $33,000, to assist small businesses in paying expenses.

Here are links to a couple of informative articles in CNN Money:

And to learn more about the program, visit the SBA website:  http://www.sba.gov/recovery/arcloanprogram/index.html

I often mention the fact that grants for small business are largely imaginary, which I think is too bad considering small businesses really are the backbone of our economy.  But SBA remains a solid resource, offering not only loans but many valuable services.

Check them out.
